The less taxes you pay (or if you don’t pay at all), the less revenue the govt. collects. The less revenue the govt. collects, the less money it has to put back into the economy to do things like… well, creating jobs, lifting people out of poverty etc. As a businessman, Romney should understand that.
And as far as charity? The Mormon Church mandates a 10% tithe from it’s followers and grants positions of power to those that give the most. Which Romney did and was granted.
